I hope this finds you all well. This months blog is “Do You Have Your Passport?”
So what do I mean by this? Although going to Israel is on the top of my bucket list and maybe you have another country you want to visit and need a passport for. That is not what I mean.
What I mean is, do you have your passport to Heaven?
You may be asking, “Bonnie, what in the world are you talking about?” I don’t need a passport to get into Heaven!. Well you do. The passport is Jesus Christ!!!
If you don’t have Jesus Christ in your life, in your heart, in your soul, you don’t have your passport into Heaven.
Let’s take a look at a few scriptures.
One of the best known is John 3:16
“For God so loved the world that he gave his only son (Jesus Christ), so that whosoever believe in Him shall not parish, but have ever lasting life.”
Your Passport: Jesus Christ.
“And anyone who believes in God’s Son (Jesus Christ, your passport) has eternal life. Anyone who doesn’t obey in God’s Son (Jesus Christ, your passport) will never experience eternal life but remains under God’s angry judgement.”
“For NO ONE can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them to me, and at the last day I will raise them up.” (This is Jesus, your passport, speaking in this scripture)
“Jesus (Your passport) told them, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me (Passport). If you had really known me, you would know who my Father is. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.”
You see my friends, Jesus Christ is your passport to Heaven. The Bible says, God says it, and Jesus Christ says it.
You know before my Kelsey passed away I said I was a christian. But you know what, I didn’t have my passport. I didn’t do as the Bible, God command me to do. I sinned. But now, wholly cow, this is what a Christian is. I get it now. I was just walking through life doing my “every day routine” not thinking about God or Jesus. Today, I think of him EVERY day almost EVERY minute of the day. I can tell you, I would not be here on this earth, if I didn’t have Jesus Christ (my passport to Heaven) in my life.
I am not perfect, none of us are. But I know I have my passport…..
So I ask you friends, “Do you have your passport? Is Jesus Christ in your heart, your soul? Have you asked him to come into your heart? Do you have a relationship with him? And do you believe he is the Son of God, sent to this earth so that we could have eternity with Him?
That’s your passport.
If not, I pray, the pray I always do for you…..
I pray that each and every one of you ask the Lord to come into your heart. That you have the relationship with Him that I have. That you have your PASSPORT. And that we all meet in Heaven one day.
