As many of you know, our family has had a rough couple years. Daddy having heart issues, Mamma passing away, Annie passing away, my best friend ( I have known her since the 9th grade) her son (23 years old) just past away a little over a week ago, and I had to have a pacemaker put in, Kind of funny (not really) but I have my daddy's cardiologist. LOL
Anyway, I just wanted to share with everyone what keeps this family going. A lot of people have asked "How do you do it."
Family and Friends. The people who stay with you, support you, take care of you, and love you no matter what. The people on this page. Honestly, so many of you have helped me through everything. I love you all for that. Ronnie; what would I do without my husband. Oh my goodness, I could not survive.
Courtney:, My baby girl. You are all I have left. I would not survive without you. Friends: The people that listen to me talk about Kelsey, Annie, and Mamma all the time. The people that cry with me and comfort me. Family: Debbie and Daddy. I do not know what I would do without you both. You are my rocks. I promise to take care of you forever. My brother, and other family members, with out a strong bond, I would have crumbled.
BUT, most of all my Lord. Oh I can not stress enough about having the Lord as your savior. Without him I am NOTHING. His words comfort me. I lay in Kelsey's bed at night and feel the angel he has sent to watch over me. I love Him so much.
IF you do not know the Lord, I pray that you develop a relationship with him. It isn't whether you live a good life and do not kill anyone, it is that relationship that you have with the Lord that gets you into Heaven.
Father's day is coming so I thought I would share a few picture's of my daddy and of Ronnie.
The picture of the groundhog is the groundhog that came up on our deck the first father's day after Kelsey passed. Remember, Kelsey called paps "Elmer Fud" because he couldn't kill a ground hog in the back yard when she was with us. God sent him this groundhog on the very FIRST father's day after she passed. Yes, GOD sent it. To let Ronnie know that Kel was safely tucked in Heaven with him.
My daddy. I love him so much. He has been through so much his entire life, but looks to the Lord for support. He goes to church with me on Sturday nights and Sunday mornings. He is the BEST daddy in the world.
In closing the scripture I found that relates the most to father's day.
Ephesians 6:1-4New International Version (NIV)
"6 Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. 2 “Honor your father and mother”—which is the first commandment with a promise— 3 “so that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth.”[a] 4 Fathers,[b] do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord."
I hope everyone that reads this finds peace in whatever struggles they may be in. Remember, God loves you. He really does...
