After Kelsey passed away there was this black cat that kept coming into our
back yard. I mean like a LOT. Come to find out Kelsey had been feeding the cat and loving on the cat.
One day when I was going through her pictures from her computer I ran across the picture below of her holding the black cat. What a kid.
Anyway, it has been almost 6 years and you know that black cat still shows up. Especially when I need a boost from God. You see, I believe that God sends us signs that we will understand that our loved ones are safe with him. One of my signs is the Bluebirds, but also this black cat.
Every time the cat comes around, which isn't that often anymore, I smile and thank God. And we take a picture. see below...
Well, Ronnie thought that in order to keep that smile on my face as it is hard to do anymore, he would get me a Black Cat. I know what you are thinking. He went out and got me a real one. Well that's not the case.
One day I came home from work and I was looking out the back window at the playhouse (my safe place). Now keep in mind, I can't see very well FAR away. So, I'm looking and looking and I say to Ronnie, the Black Cat is at the playhouse. So we start walking out there, I'm crying calling the cat (I would love to hold the real one some day) and as I am getting closer, I realize it isn't real.
My wonderful husband said, I thought you needed one here all the time.
I may not have the real Black Cat my Kelsey used to hold and feed, but I get a smile on my face every day when I look out and see MY black cat sitting by the playhouse.
I love you Ronnie and Courtney. I love you Kelsey, to the moon and back a BILLION times...
