to really understand what is being said. A lot of the books are written by Paul. He always starts it off by say "Greetings from Paul" So, I have decided to start my scripture time by saying "Greetings From My Safe Place...."
"Greetings From My Safe Place"
I'm in the book of Ephesians. There are several versus that I LOVE here, but I will only mention a few.
Ephesians 2:4. "God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only be God's grace that you have been saved!) (6) For he raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus. (8) God saved you by his grace when you believed. (BELIEVED!!!)
And you can't take credit for this; it is a GIFT from God. Salvation is NOT a reward for the GOOD things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. (10) For we are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can DO the good things he has PLANNED for us long ago.
When I was young, I was always taught that if you were "Good" all your life and didn't steal, kill, ect you would make it into Heaven. All though you should obey the law, it is not the way to Heaven. It is your RELATIONSHIP with God.
How does a murder get to Heaven? Is it fair that he can make it to Heaven and I who never murdered anyone go to Heaven? Look at verse 8 above. "God saved you by his grace when you BELIEVED!!!!! Believed in him!!!! LOVED him!!!! Lived your life with a "goal" of going to Heaven.
I don't know about you, but I live each and every day of my life to die. Now that may sound harsh, but I know that there is NOTHING in this world worth not going to Heaven to be with God and my Kelsey. So, I live each day to die.
I am far from perfect, but I try with all my heart to live the way God has "PLANNED for me all along". I live to go to Heaven.
